About UHY Wingfield Slater
The firm was founded a century ago by Frederick J. Slater and was developed by Walter Wingfield from 1937 onwards, being joined by his son in 1976.
We are a firm of Chartered Accountants offering accountancy and business development services to small and medium sized owner managed businesses. Our partners will aim to play a non-executive director style role in terms of input into your business. This will include incisive, objective and timely commercial input to improve business performance or just a second opinion, from people who understand and care about your business.
UHY Wingfield Slater is a member of the UHY Hacker Young Group of independent UK partnerships which is one of the Top 20 groups of chartered accountants in the UK and has a strong reputation in the business and financial communities.
With 84 partners and over 420 professional staff working from 19 locations around the country, we provide a wide range of accounting, tax and business advisory services, as well as established specialisms in corporate finance, turnaround and recovery, VAT planning, interim and project management and financial services.
We work hard, we believe in providing our clients with a first class service, but we understand that for our staff to help us achieve this they need to work in an atmosphere that encourages, and rewards success.
We are interested in you as an individual, what your interests are, and what motivates you. We aim to support all of our staff throughout their careers and to help them meet their professional objectives.
We are an authorised training office for both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. We have students training for both these qualifications.
